Embracer is an exciting company that is rapidly expanding. Embracer has over the last few years added numerous companies under its umbrella. With growth comes the need to strengthen the group finance team with a Group Internal Control Coordinator. This role is new, so here´s an opportunity to set the instruments for internal control in the Group.

As Group Internal Control Coordinator you will be a key figure in the group finance team. Providing assurance and governance related to internal control over financial reporting (ICFR), including financial, operational, compliance and IT risks.

One of your main tasks will be to build the internal control framework, making it compatible with Embracers decentralized model. You also have the responsibility to constantly develop the framework and making sure it is maintained throughout the group.

You will be part of a professional environment characterized by fast pace on a global arena and a truly entrepreneurial attitude. You report directly to the Group CFO.

Most important focus areas

Assurance and advisory related to ICFR and corporate governance such as:

  • Building and maintaining internal control frameworks.
  • Performing risk assessments.
  • Documentation of key processes and internal controls.
  • Testing design and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Analyzing, aggregating and reporting results.
  • Control remediation and coaching regarding mitigating controls.
  • Providing recommendations for policy, process, and internal control improvements, as well as internal control guidance to the business.

 Experience and qualifications

  • University degree in Business Administration, Accounting
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in providing assurance and/or advisory, related to ICFR.
  • Subject matter expertise within ICFR, including ITGC.
  • Experience from working with a risk based approach to internal control, with internal control requirements such as Swedish Code of Corporate Governance and/or SOX.
  • Understanding of IPO/listing requirements, COSO-framework and ERM is meriting.
  • Experience in roles requiring project management.
  • Experience in senior roles with quality assurance, team leader, IC-coaching and reporting skills.
  • Experience in reporting to management/Board level is meriting.
  • Experience from coordinating and performing multinational internal control assessments, such as self-assessments or management testing in a decentralized organization is meriting.
